Dear Marty,
It is, of course, customary that, after they have left, we write a thank you letter to all of the groups who stay here. Due to the uniqueness of your Reunion visit here, I decided to handle that task myself this time.
Yesterday, Monday, was unlike any I have experienced here at this property. I had people from every department coming to tell me what a great group you people were. And Ken Bryan, our General Manager, told me he was having the same thing happen to him.
The best examples would be the housekeeping staff. They could not tell us enough how friendly, generous and caring the group was. They said the members talked to them, left them tips (a rarity in this area) and left them notes of thanks and encouragement. They really felt special. You validated them as valuable employees and as people in a way we never could as their managers.
And the rest of the staff was just as complimentary. I have never come in on a Monday morning to such an upbeat group. We are coming off a long, very busy summer and we were running pretty low on energy. To know that the staff could pull together for one last event for the season and do so well was a boost to their morale. The fact is, I am not sure they could have without a group like the USCG Lightship Sailors. Positive begets positive. Finally I will just say, “Thanks, we needed that”!
THANK YOU for being such a GREAT GROUP! Marty.
Gratefully,
Dick Edwards,
Director of Sales and Marketing
